Caroline Sheridan, originally from Michigan, began her dance journey at the age of 5, subsequently mastering six examinations in the Cecchetti Method by the age of 16. She then pursued her passion for dance at the University of Utah on scholarship, earning a BS in Economics and a BFA in Ballet in 2013. During her time at the university, Caroline performed in esteemed works such as Val Caniparoli’s ‘Lambarena’, Gerald Arpino’s ‘Birthday Variations’.’.

Post-graduation, Caroline Sheridan accepted a contract to perform with Central West Ballet in Modesto, California, under the direction of René Daveluy and Leslie Ann Larson. During her tenure, she graced the stage in numerous classical ballets including ‘Giselle’ and ‘Swan Lake’, distinguishing herself in George Balanchine’s ‘Who Cares?’ solo, ‘I’ll Build a Stairway to Paradise’, earning critical acclaim from Zippora Karz of New York City Ballet.

In 2018, Caroline Sheridan ventured to the East Coast to perform as a soloist with Ballet Hartford in Hartford, Connecticut, collaborating closely with professionals from renowned companies. Her artistry caught the attention of Syracuse City Ballet, where she joined as a Company Dancer and Rehearsal Director in 2019.

While in Syracuse, Caroline Sheridan was approached to be the subject of a documentary titled ‘Panacea’, named after her own choreography. The film, inspired by the unity amid a global pandemic, received awards and accolades at prestigious film festivals worldwide.

In 2022, Caroline Sheridan assumed the role of Artistic Director at Syracuse City Ballet, ushering in a new era of artistic excellence. Her choreographic ingenuity was showcased in numerous full-length classical and contemporary ballets. Notable among her choreographic works are a full-length production of ‘The Nutcracker’ and ‘Firebird’, as well as the critically acclaimed ‘Moonlight’ commissioned by The Syracuse Orchestra.
